Ruri waved him away. She was stubborn and got nervous when people worried about her. She was likely to do stupid stuff with or without someone watching her back and she preferred to keep others out of the crossfire. It was her duty to protect people, not the other way around.
Dark chestnut eyes looked down at the frame and then up at KITT's face. She flashed him a warm smile. "No no. I'll be fine. It's an adjustment. I really don't drink and if my body wants to protest I'm going to let it. Maybe next time I'll listen." She flashed him a smile before rubbing softly at her temples. The room wasn't spinning and she didn't feel sick anymore, all good signs.
"Do you mind putting it up? I'm more of a writer and a rather flimsy one at that. I don't trust myself with a hammer. Do you want some tea? I have green tea from my last trip to Japan." It was the only place, outside of the US, that she visited with any regularity. Her father's family lived there and while they didn't know who she was by family ties, she liked to visit them and say hi.
